Barn and ranch venues reward a photographer who plans for two kinds of light: the wide open-field glow before sunset and the string-light warmth inside afterwards. We schedule portraits for the field first, then move inside with the reception already lit the way it should be filmed.
From ranch ceremonies to rooftop city receptions, Waco weddings blend scale with warmth. We plan around big families, bigger sunsets, and dance floors that deserve coverage until the last song. If we haven’t worked Silo and Oak yet we scout it before your day — light, timing, logistics — so nothing about the venue surprises us on the morning of.
At Silo and Oak the sun sets at 8:35 PM in June and 6:58 PM in October, with golden hour opening around 7:59 PM on a June evening and 7:03 PM in late September. No. Elizabeth Scott is a national studio and travel is built into every collection, so a wedding at Silo and Oak costs the same as one across the street from us.
Most Waco couples book eight to twelve months out; peak spring and autumn dates go first. A signed agreement and the retainer hold your date, and the balance is due two weeks before the wedding.
