Lake Tahoe, NV Wedding Photographer & Videographer

Big skies, alpenglow, and venues with views that do half the work — Lake Tahoe weddings reward photographers who plan for altitude and light.

Wedding photographers & videographers in Lake Tahoe

Mountain weddings in Lake Tahoe trade predictability for drama — weather moves fast, alpenglow lasts minutes, and the best portraits often happen the moment a storm clears. We build flexible timelines and always know where the light will land.

Elizabeth Scott is a national studio: senior photographers and filmmakers, travel already included, and a calendar kept deliberately small so every wedding gets a first-team crew. If we haven’t worked your exact venue yet, we scout it before your day — light, timing, logistics — so nothing about Lake Tahoe surprises us on the morning of.

The light in Lake Tahoe

Ceremony time decides how your photographs look, and the answer is different in Lake Tahoe than it is three states over. In June the sun sets here at 8:27 PM and golden hour opens around 7:47 PM; by October sunset has slid back to 6:21 PM — a swing of 2 hours 6 minutes across one wedding season. Start a Lake Tahoe ceremony at roughly the times below and you will finish vows, family formals, and portraits with the good light still in front of you rather than behind you.

Times computed for Lake Tahoe (Los Angeles) on the 15th of each month. An outdoor ceremony in open shade can run 20–30 minutes later than the figures above; a church or ballroom ceremony is unaffected.

Where couples marry in Lake Tahoe

These are the Lake Tahoe venues couples ask us about most. We have not shot every one of them — nobody has — so when a venue is new to us we scout it before your date: light through the ceremony hour, where formals hold up, how long the walk from getting-ready to first look actually takes.

Questions couples in Lake Tahoe ask us

Do you charge a travel fee for weddings in Lake Tahoe, NV?

No. Elizabeth Scott is a national studio and travel is built into every collection, so a Lake Tahoe wedding costs the same as one across the street from us.

Do you offer wedding videography in Lake Tahoe as well as photography?

Yes. Every collection is available as photography, film, or both from one senior team. Combined coverage starts at $3,000 and gives you a single timeline instead of two vendors negotiating for the same light.

Have you photographed weddings in Lake Tahoe before?

Not every venue in Lake Tahoe, and we say so. When a venue is new to us we scout it before your date: ceremony light, where formals hold up, how long the walk between spaces really takes.
